Workplace Talks & Workshops

I offer workplace talks to help teams and organizations create kinder and more supportive spaces. Drawing from evidence based psychology, these sessions can explore general wellbeing, covering topics like managing stress and preventing burnout, as well as team focused themes such as improving communication, managing conflict, fostering compassion, and strengthening relationships.

These sessions can be offered as lunchtime talks or as longer workshops for training days or away days. Each session is tailored to your team and delivered online or in person.

Wellbeing in the Workplace

A practical session offering general tips to support wellbeing at work. We’ll cover stress‑management strategies, mindfulness techniques, and simple self‑care practices that help reduce stress and boost energy. Perfect for teams looking to create a healthier work environment and culture. Sessions can also be tailored to focus on particular themes, such as wellbeing in the winter.

Cultivating Compassion

Improve communication and foster compassion within your team. This talk explores different communication styles, strategies for managing conflict constructively, and ways to build a culture of empathy and respect. We also look at how our brains shift into threat modes under pressure, and how cultivating compassion can help teams can improve communication. Ideal for teams who want to strengthen relationships, work more collaboratively, or who may be experiencing challenges.

Preventing and Managing Burnout

Learn how to recognise the early signs of burnout and take proactive steps to prevent it. This session explores common triggers, practical recovery strategies, and ways to set and maintain healthy boundaries. We’ll highlight how burnout differs from everyday stress, and what individuals and teams can do to protect long‑term wellbeing. Especially valuable for high‑pressure or emotionally demanding roles.

Psychology Meets Yoga: Talks and Workshops

 

These sessions combine evidence-based psychology with the wisdom of yoga philosophy and practice. These sessions explore how movement, breath, and mindset can support mental health and wellbeing, creating a holistic approach to resilience and compassion.

These sessions can be delivered as interactive talks or experiential workshops. I'm also happy to customise and combine elements from each to create a more personalised workshop or talk.

Postures for Mental Health

Movement shapes how we feel. Discover why and movement impacts on our mood and emotional wellbeing,. Learn how movement can generate energy when motivation is low or calm the mind when stress is high, supported by insights from yoga and psychological approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. This practical, evidence based session offers embodied strategies to restore balance and wellbeing.

Compassion in Practice: Yoga Philosophy and Psychology

Compassion is central to both yoga philosophy and modern psychology. This session explores why compassion matters for wellbeing and resilience, integrating principles like ahimsa (non-harm) and karuna (active compassion) with insights from Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). We’ll look at the three flows of compassion: Giving compassion to others, receiving compassion, and self-compassion and discuss how these can reduce shame, soothe threat systems, and foster connection. Includes reflective discussion and short meditative practices to bring these ideas to life.

Breathwork for Emotional Balance

Breath is a powerful bridge between body and mind. In this session, you’ll learn practical breathing techniques from yoga (such as pranayama) alongside psychological strategies for regulating the nervous system. We’ll explore how breath can calm and ground you during stress, as well as energize and uplift you when motivation or focus is low. This session gives you tools to restore balance and support different emotional states.
